An eBook is the electronic equivalent of a normal book.
There is not an “Industry Standard” for eBooks so they may have different requirements.
All eBooks require you to have a PC. Some also need you to have Internet Explorer 4 or higher. Others require you to have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. Both of these are available for free.
Most eBooks have links to web sites embedded in them. While there is not usually an absolute
necessity to be connected to the Internet to read an eBook there is the advantage of obtaining further information from the Internet if required.
There are exceptions, however, and some eBooks have to be accessed completely from the Internet.
Many eBooks deal specifically with Internet subjects although there are also eBooks with the same
general topics as you would find in any Library, including both fiction and non fiction.
Infobooks 4u is currently concentrating on eBooks that
contain subjects that relate to the Internet, for example E-mail marketing strategy, ezine advertising for profit and various successful Internet marketing techniques. You will also find very useful eBooks on web site building on this site.
An eBook is a marvelous innovation that sits comfortably within the framework of modern technology.
